Meet the faces of our community
who are helping to tell our story.

At Living Dappled, we’re all about women helping women thrive with vitiligo. And that means partnering closely with our own community to tell our collective story. Because the “vitiligo” story doesn’t belong to one of us—it belongs to all of us. These women with vitiligo are bringing their authenticity, vulnerability and confidence to our feeds—and our community.

Glo

Glow Souza, content creator
Partner

Gloria, who goes by “Glow,” is Brazilian-born and has lived in Portugal for 18 years. Diagnosed with vitiligo when she was 19, Glow once feared she would look “ugly” if her vitiligo spreading throughout her body. She tried treatment for a while, but over time decided the expense wasn’t worth it, and began the process of accepting herself and her vitiligo, even as it changed. She says the unconditional support of family, friends, and her husband have helped her learn to love every spot as it appears, and now uses her social platform to show glimpses of everyday life in a way that both normalizes vitiligo and showcases her neutral-loving aesthetic. Her favorite hobby is spending time with her toddler son and husband, especially going for walks with them.

“I am very happy to be part of the Living Dappled Collective because it always ends up giving my vitiligo a purpose, a chance to show that our world can be normal like any other person but a little more special because we are works of art.”

Yasmin (6)

Yaz Toseafa, model and physician associate

For years, she felt ashamed of her spots and her life revolved around covering them. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Yaz did some re-evaluating and decided “there are more important things in life than what people think of you, one of them being what you think of yourself.” She started focusing on enjoying her life in the skin that she’s in, and calls that the best decision she ever made. Now, Yaz creates content that spotlights her love of food and travel, along with behind-the-scenes peeks into the daily life of a working model as she travels to photoshoots and media events. In her spare time, Yaz dabbles in salsa dancing and is a regular at her gym.

“Where I once used to cover up my vitiligo, I now wear it with pride, and I’m excited to join the Living Dappled Collective to help others feel the same way too.”

Sharing her journey and connecting with the vitiligo community has helped her realize she’s not alone and Reshma now uses her platform to share her take on life with vitiligo, parenting, and her love for rock climbing.
