‘She’s a Wildflower’ Limited-Edition Merch Collection Celebrates Vitiligo and the Art of Self-Embrace

For those living with vitiligo, embracing your ever-changing skin can be both a challenge and a journey toward freedom and confidence.
To celebrate this journey of ‘self-embrace,’ Living Dappled and digital artist Wildy Martinez have teamed up to launch a limited-edition mini merch collection, available exclusively in June 2025. Designed to raise awareness, increase representation, and support mental health for women with vitiligo, this collection is more than just art—it’s advocacy in action.
The Mission: A Celebration of Vitiligo
With June recognized as Vitiligo Awareness Month, and June 25th recognized as World Vitiligo Day, this is a powerful time of the year to uplift the stories and needs of those affected by this autoimmune condition. Each June, those with vitiligo and other advocates come together to raise awareness through webinars, conferences, media and other outlets.
This new merch collection is a way to participate in that celebration—through wearable, meaningful pieces that spark conversations and build connection. Each piece creates a moment of representation in the world around us and helps those living with vitiligo feel seen even in the smallest of everyday moments.
The Artist: Wildy Martinez
Wildy is a multidisciplinary digital artist, fashion designer, and founder of Wildflower Fields, a Web3 platform celebrating women’s stories through art and fashion. With over 20 years in the fashion industry, Wildy has emerged as a passionate advocate for natural beauty and self-acceptance.
As a “dappled darling” who has lived with vitiligo for over two decades—and lost nearly all her skin pigment—Wildy brings authenticity and emotional depth to every piece she creates. For Wildy, art became a way of sharing her story with vitiligo and building confidence. Now, she wants to share that gift with others with vitiligo.
The Art: Blooming Through Self-Embrace
At the heart of this collection is Wildy Martinez’s signature artwork, a digital watercolor portrait of a woman with vitiligo surrounded by colorful wildflowers and butterflies. The work was inspired by wildflowers that bloom in harsh environments.
“I’ve researched wildflowers that grow in volcanic ash, in deserts—places you’d think are inhospitable. And yet, they bloom,” said Wildy. “That’s how I see myself, and how I see so many women with vitiligo. Our spots are unique. No one has the same pattern. We are the real wildflowers of the world. We bloom in unlikely places.”
Her artwork is a visual metaphor for resilience, beauty, and individuality—core messages for those learning to love their vitiligo. As someone who learned the art of the self-embrace, Wildy’s hope is that this art can inspire the same in others.
The Shop: One-Time, Limited Edition
The mini merch collection is dropping on June 1st, 2025 and will include a small set of merchandise all featuring Wildy’s exclusive artwork. (Yes, you have to wait until the shop drops to find out what’s included—coming soon!)
The shop will be open exclusively from June 1 to June 30, 2025 in honor of Vitiligo Awareness Month. This is a one-time drop—once it’s gone, it’s gone.
The Cause: Representation + Mental Health
This collection isn’t just about products—it’s about purpose. 100% of profits will go directly back into the vitiligo community, specifically funding the creation of mental health resources for women with vitiligo, a significantly unmet need for this community.
Vitiligo is more than skin deep. It can impact confidence, emotional well-being, and quality of life. By purchasing from this collection, you’re helping to bridge a critical gap in mental health support while celebrating beauty in difference.

A patient advocate, editor, and sought-after leader within the vitiligo community, Erika Page is also the Founder and CEO of Living Dappled. After getting vitiligo at the age of seven, she lost 100% of her skin’s pigment over 25 years. She fought her own mental and emotional battle to overcome her insecurities and embrace the skin she was in and today seeks to help other women reclaim their lives with this condition.
